During the last fiscal year, APU’s campus was visited by recruitment officers from 300 firms. They came to conduct preliminary interviews with some of the university’s overseas students and they left having made 500 job offers to around 300 people, 94 percent of the total international student body.
“It is not unusual for the best students to receive offers from four or five companies,” says an APU spokesperson.
At the beginning of December, a career fair was held in Tokyo, the 21st such event. Manning the booths this time were 45 Japanese companies such as Panasonic and NEC, each looking to recruit the cream of the graduating crop of spring 2014.
